Oil Product Terminal Vasilikos Cyprus

Jetty structures and marine works, Vasilikos, Cyprus

The oil product terminal will be a hub facility, catering for import by Aframax and Suezmax oil tankers and re-export of the oil products by smaller tankers to the countries in the Mediterranean region. Inclusion of a jetty for the import of LNG is planned for the second phase of the project.

The main features of the jetty structures are 1,800 metre long access trestles to jetty heads with four berths at a depth of 15 to 20 metres. Each berth is equipped with breasting and mooring dolphins and loading platforms.

The access trestles to the berths are designed with a steel girder superstructure with 45 metre spans supported by piled foundations with tubular steel piles and reinforced concrete capping beams. The loading platforms are designed with a reinforced concrete superstructure on tubular steel piles.
